Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant and is a must in your skincare!

An antioxidant helps fight harmful free radicals (toxins). Free radicals break down cells over time causing signs of aging. These free radicals occur from external and internal factors. Some external causes are air pollution, smoking, industrial chemicals, certain drugs, pesticides etc. Internally they can occur from inflammation, mitochondrial and enzymatic reactions and/or produced by immune cells.

Some Forms of Vitamin C:

  1. L-Ascrobic Acid is the most researched and effective form of Vitamin C.  It’s great for fighting toxins along with reducing wrinkles, stimulating collagen production, helping with dark spots.

  1. Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate is known for skin brightening and helping with wrinkles

  1. Ascorbyl Palmitate is oil soluble so it can be easily absorbed into the skin. It can help with collagen production and skin tone.

  1. Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate is gentle on skin. It is a strong antioxidant, assists in fading darks spots and can help fight acne.

Vitamin C can be found in cleansers, toners, serums, & moisturizers.

The formulation and ingredients used in a skincare product is important. You want high quality ingredients and a formulation that will work effectively. Look for professional grade skincare that have been tested.
